Introduction Shibori dye workshop as part of E17 Art Trail in the beautiful shop, PAVEMENT on 21 Orford Road E17 9NL, Walthamstow Village on 9th June Sunday. Join me for Shibori (Japanese manual resist dye) workshop for beginners, where you will learn Japanese techniques including Itajime Shibori (folding, clamping), or other simple tie resist techniques, and dye in fructose indigo vat. You will be dyeing Japanese organic cotton 45cm x 45cm Furoshiki (traditional Japanese wrapping cloth), and taking it home. Please bring your apron, come with the clothes that you don't mind to have some blue spots. Gloves will be provided. Bring a jar if you would like to take some indigo dye liquid with you to try at home. The workshop will run from 13 pm and for approximately 2 and half hours.
